General overview
Basic data visualizations for multiple datasets/columns with various display options. The content of this section is distributed across the following tabs:
Time Series. Time series graph of selected data. It is also possible to draw theoretical profiles for the parameters GHI, DNI, and GTI.
Heatmap. Heatmap plot of selected data. A maximum of (first) four selected columns is allowed.
Histogram. Histogram plot.
CDF. Cumulative distribution plot.
Diurnal Profiles. Yearly/monthly diurnal profiles graph
Monthly averages. Monthly averages graph
Statistics. Table with basic statistics for each column.
Component | Description |
Tabs | Move to different sections. |
Graph toolbar | Actions like zoom, pan, save as image, and other settings. |
Main area | Part of the window where the graph or statistics are represented. |
Column filter | Filter datasets or columns. |
Data tree | Datasets are shown in tree form. If checked, column data will be shown in plots. |
Options | Additional options e.g. aggregations, filters. |
Redraw | Redraw the current graph with the latest changes. |
Options
General
Component | Description |
Aggregation | Aggregate data to higher time step. |
Min of valid points | Minimum required number of original records (in %) for summarizing the output interval. If this condition is not met (e.g., there are less than 30 1-minute records in the hourly output interval, while we require a 50% minimum), the output interval is empty-filled by the NaN value. |
Year/Month | Filter data by year, month, or year and month. |
Date | Filter data by date and/or time. |
Data column | If only one dataset is present, it's possible to filter data by range from any column of that dataset. If multiple datasets are present, it's possible to filter only by solar elevation. |
Period of day | Filter data by period of the day, similar to filter data by solar elevation. |
Flags | If checked, data are filtered by flag values from the flag column. |
Valid | Check valid flags. |
Select All | Check all flags. |
Deselect All | Deselect all flags. |
Flag values | Dataset flags from the dataset flag scheme. |
Time series
Component | Description |
View in time zone | If checked, data are shown in UTC chosen. |
Show values | If checked and zoomed to less than 3 months of data, show the closest values near the cursor. |
Compare mode | Used to compare measured and model datasets. Time stamps must match exactly. |
Harmonize on hourly aggregation | Option harmonize on hourly aggregation can be applied for time step > hourly (daily or higher aggregations). When checked, data are aggregated to hourly aggregation, then data are filtered to match the same time stamps, and then data are aggregated to higher aggregation (Daily, Monthly, Yearly). When unchecked, data are aggregated and only after aggregation data is filtered to match the same time stamps. |
Align time stamps | When using compare mode, time stamps in both measured and model datasets must match exactly, otherwise time series plot is empty. Align time stamps interpolates measured dataset to match model dataset time stamps. |

Histogram

Start at | If checked, the histogram starts at this value. |
Number of bins | Set the number of bins of the histogram. |
Bin size | Set the width of bins. |
Compare mode | If checked, show data only with a common timestamp. |
CDF
Component | Description |
View in time zone | If checked, data are shown in UTC chosen. |
Percentile | Show a horizontal percentage line with vertical value line in the graph. |
Compare mode | If checked, show data only with a common timestamp. |
Diurnal profiles
Component | Description |

Monthly / yearly | Show monthly or yearly diurnal profiles graphs. |
Mean / median | Show mean/median diurnal profile line. |
PXX | Show percentile line. |
Custom | Show custom percentile line. |
